Fantasy Baseball - Trade Advice?

New to Fantasy Baseball this season and currently last in my fantasy Roto league.

The following trade has been proposed (by the top ranked team in the league):

B Roberts; B Abreu; J Verlander

FOR

T Saito; I Rodriguez; B Phillips

My team currently is as follows: C-R Martin; 1B-M Teixeira; 2B-J Lugo; SS-E Renteria; 3B-D Wright; OF-M Holliday; J Francoeur; A Jones; Util-M Tejada; BN-V Wells; R Howard; B Phillips; M Lowell; I Rodriguez.

Pitching: SP-R Halladay; B Sheets; B Webb; J Smoltz

RP-C Codero; T Hoffman; T Saito.

Any Advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Wow I don't know if this guy is fooling with you or what because he would be ripping himself off by proposing that trade. I would accept it before he declines it.

You would be getting 3 impact fantasy players for 2 players on your bench and a mediocre closer.

Roberts can easily steal 50 bases and Abreu always has a good batting average and around 20-25 home runs. Verlander has been one of the top pitchers in the league this season.

Phillips has better power than Roberts, but Roberts' steals are much more valuable. Abreu is going to be better than Ivan Rodriguez and obviously Verlander is a dominating pitcher than Saito and is much more valuable than him.

I hope I am understanding this right, that YOU are receving Roberts, Abreu, and Verlander. If so do it and you will have a completely lopsided trade in your favor.

If I got the players mixed up don't do the trade. Bottom line is whoever gets Roberts, Abreu, and Verlander is pulling off a great deal.

    Take it.

You don't need Pudge, but your not desperate for Abreu.

Roberts for Phillips is a nice speed boost, and once Tex, Wright, Howard and Wells heat up you should have plenty of power.

Verlander is a plus. He is a quality player. He is worth losing Saito for.

man i wouldnt even trade ordonez for those 3 guys...upton is slumping huge right now and hernandez is not a top flight pitcher you could get for pujols, i actually like your pitching staff whats so wrong with them?? besides a couple of closers... to put things into perspective i traded pujols this year for quentin and markakis, thats the type of players you should be getting for him. try dangling your other OF to see whats out there..... maybe fileder and thats guys ace like halladay or haren for pujols.. good luck just remember everybody values pujols real high in leagues so you can be greedy and ask for alot more..
