What does "surat," "peklat," & "kangkong" mean in your language or dialect (local tongue)?

I am tracing where certain words originate. The first two words are said to be "Arabic" or "Malay" in origin, and that the last word is said to be "universal" --- that is, it means the same thing wherever in the world --- and your answers will confirm that. Thank you for your cooperation.

Update:

If it's not too much asking, please indicate your nationality. Thank you.
