Problem connecting mobile phone to pc..help??

I have sony ericsson mobile phone model z610i. i want to connect it to my pc via usb connector. The problem is my computer cant detect there is a removable disk connected up.. i try to connect other removable disk eg. mp3 player, thumb drive.. & it work fine..but somehow when i connected my mobile phone, my pc cant detect it at all..so i tried downloaded the software at sonyericsson.com & installed it in my pc & tried again to connect my phone..but still same error occured..pls help..!! is there something wrong with my pc or is it somthing wrong with my phone??fyi.. when i connect my phone to the pc.. my phone automatically turn it status to disable(whichis normal) & tht mean its ready for trasfering file..but no action from my pc.....PLS HELP..!!!!

    What u do is, U must have received a mother board CD,with ur computerr.Insert it and Reinstall it if you have already.Then restart ur computer and plug the cable.If it is not connecting, Insert and C in other plug. If still it is not working then I think there is a problem with ur USB hub board or Ur Mobile Cable must be DAMAGED

    Try running the program and waiting for it to ask for the connection of the phone. I have a motorola and that's the way it works. Good luck

    uhh have no clue but mine works so i dont know take it back to the shop place and they could help you
