I guess you could say

That I've been through a lot.

My signature instinct

Is to grin and bear it.

When I'm sruuounded by tears

Because of death...or heartbreak

You'll see a sympathetic smile on my face

It's filled with sorrow, but still a smile.

Anger, well that's a little harder

I could be ready to rip your throat out,

But you wouldn't know.

Because I'd do it with a smile on my face.

The depression of others,

That I could handle.

But myself, I just kept it bottled up inside,

Behind that "lovely" smile.

Secrets, don't even get me started.

I basically made up the word.

But the main thing to know

Is you can hide ANYTHING behind a smile.

That's why no one expected it

My letter, it made no sense.

The gun, no one knew where it came from.

My smile...
