Visit thewholesaler.co.uk for a list of wholesalers in catergorised sections to search for ideas. You can also do a search on eBay to find out which are the top selling products.
To start with you might want to consider 'dropshipping' so that you don't have to buy stock in advance.
eBay fees can rise very quickly if you are not careful. It costs me over £800 a month in eBay fees alone but I sell an awful lot of stuff and to me it is worth paying that much.
If you need any help let me know and I will email you some of my experience. I am based in Watford with a studio / gallery in Croch End, London.

At this stage of being very inexperienced, it would be a good idea to sell some things you already have, such as clothes or books.
List a few items that are in good condition (they don't have to be new) and describe them honestly. Don't try to cover up any flaws. Set a fair price (check what others are selling for to get an idea) and be honest in what you do.
You can use these early sales to do two things ~ get experience (it's a complicated world on EBay!) and get some 'positive feedback'.
No matter how good your products are, you will not sell a lot if you have a poor feedback rating.
Try this for a few weeks, get a lot of experience, and join the EBay sellers' forums where others gather to talk over problems, issues and concerns.
You will soon get the hang of it and, after a while, you will begin to see the sort of things that are popular, sell well and what prices they get. That should make your task of finding the right product much easier.
Best of luck!

Is there something that you love and are a good at? Do you have a passion that people compliment you on? Do you own and know how to upload pictures? Do you have a bank account? If you answered yes to those things, you can open a store.
First of all, one mans junk is another mans treasure and you never know what people are into. Look around the house and I'm sure you will find acres of diamonds you never knew existed. Ex jewelry is another wonderful treasure to release yourself from.
A guy that I know sells cameras online. He's a millionaire and in his 20s. He has 2 people working for him, fulfilling orders and answering emails but he's getting paid with this part time gig and doing something in the "real world" getting super paid.

Ebay is great. Start by getting on and watching auctions you are interested in. I sell old jewelry and small collectible items I get at yard sales and such. If you haven't already, get an ebay account and buy some inexpensive items to get an idea of the flow, also to build positive feedback for yourself.
Pay attention to your feedback rating - take good care of your customers.
Ebay is a lot of work, it's not like free money. You have to research and photograph your items, create and maintain your listings, answer questions, invoice your customers and ship product. It all sounds very easy but there are lots of steps and it definately takes a lot of work.
Good luck, and maybe I'll see you on ebay!

It's easy to sell on ebay once you have a product to sell. You need to think of a product line that you are interested in and start researching where to purchase that product. Then go to the ebay website and read through the directions that tell you how to open a store. You need to make a few decisions on your own first. What do you want to sell and how are you going to ship your product.Good Luck.

Start selling something that you know a lot about and that you are passionate about. It is much easier to sell something that you believe in. Start experimenting and see what sells good for you and what has a good profit margin. Start with things you own that you are looking to get rid of to start to get the hang of the site and how it operates.

Start by lookingt what others are doing. The chances of you finding something unique is pretty slim as just about everything is already available on there. Just see what stores are moving alot of stock and what seems to be popular.
Take it from there.

You have to do your homework on this one, ask people and search the net to see what is popular.
