How to tell ur bf that you want to break off?

Yea, there is no easy way to break up w/ someone.. But you gotta tell them some how.. Because this is not fair for you or the other person, because you already want to be free from this relationship... So, just do what you gotta do...

Well look it is normally wrong to break up with someone and not do it face to face but in ur situation i guess it would be okay to call him. If you cant do that then email him. Id rather have someone break up with me those ways than have them cheat on me cause the relationship isnt working (but i don't know it). Be honest with him! Tell him that the connection between you two is just not strong enough and you dont wanna hold him back from meeting someone who could be the one or have the same feelings for him as he has for them. Tell him that you dont wanna hurt him but will be if you stay together. Be gentle about it and just be honest. There is nothing worse than not knowing the real reason why someone broke up with you cause u then think its something you did! Its good that you realised that you weren't suitable for eachother so early cause it wont hurt now as bad as it would have if you had been together for a couple of months and then he is in love with you.

face to face, public place. Since you can't be face to face the next best thing would be to ring him up on the phone. Even if it costs a bit. I'm sorry email really doesn't cut it, wait until he returns to a place where he can make a call and then talk to him about it.

Classic line is, basically its been great, but not for me, lets break it off before either of us get too attached. etc.

Works nicely for short term relationships.

But if it is possible I ask you to try and wait until you can do it face to face, its just harsh otherwise.

You should try to be kind and tell him that you think you should no longer go steady or if you are engaged break it to him gently. Offer to still be his friend and if he ever cared for you in the first place you will soon know! It is really hard to break up with someone you care for. You could send him a friendship card and write a little note but make it a nice card. I wish that i had known the few things i know now when i was 16.
