I'm thinking about selling my T-bird! How much should I ask?

I have a 1996 Ford Thunderbird LX 3.8 V6. It has a power sear, rear spoiler, single CD player, BRAND NEW BF Goodrich radial T/A tires (raised white letter), new shocks, new brakes, recently aligned, interior is in GREAT shape, new paint in 2005, but it has 150,000 miles.

The car is basically new inside and out, but the mileage has me worried a little. What would you pay for it or how much should I ask?

well, given the vehicle has high miles - ask for $ 2500 and see if you get any offers. always keep in mind - you can always come down but never go back up.

this is considering you are selling the vehicle privately.

i hope this answers your question

Your car sounds great! I have a 1993 and 1989 Thunderbird, so I know them well. I would ask $2,500 - $3,500). Unfortunately we will probably not be able to get a lot from our T-birds, but just remind whoever looks at it that the car is very reliable because that's the truth. Good luck selling it!

I'm sorry to say, but their resale value is not very good. I couldn't even sell my 85 and had to part it out, so the longer you wait, the less you will get. So either get rid of it or drive it into the ground.

You could start at $3,250 and slowly come down. I would post it on http://craigslist.org/ in you region,

    it's FREE!

you should check local auto sales magazines and see the average prices in your area then decide if you want to sell it fast list it a bit lower than other cars in your area

it would go for at least $3,000 here in the midwest. if it was a '89-'92, i'd buy it from ya! damn, i miss my bird.
