Why does it seems like white people love to HATE OJ Simpson when Robert Blake got off too?

I'm black. I don't care for OJ or Robert Blake. I'm indifferent either way, but here's my gripe: White people seem to love bashing OJ and when i see a white person on TV talking about the whole thing disgust seems to ooze from thier pores. Not because he is a murderer who go off, but because he is a Black murder who killed white people and got off. Now for all the caucasians reading this saying i am "pulling the race card" i am not. He probably did it. I dont know. I dont care. Robert Blake probably did it too. But i just think there is something eerily strange about the fact that white people didn't seem to get as outraged in that case. Now to be completely honest, I do get a little offended by this fact as black american. it has nothing to do with OJ. To hell with OJ. It just seems to me that there is a higher value placed on white life than any other race (ummm... Natalie Holloway). And it seems like whites never want to talk about it. it's always "pulling the race card" What's up?

OJ was more of a public trial... that is the only thing i can think of. But yes, I would love to know why there is a double standard.

I'm not white or black so I really don't have a dog in this hunt. But I do remember when that murderer OJ got off and all over the TV you could watch black people dancing in the streets and cheering for OJ just because he was black and they were happy that he got away with killing some white people. That's when I first realized that maybe we're really not equal.

I think that the reason OJ gets more bad publicity is because of the trial that was televised daily. It was his demeanor during and after the trial that made people take a strong dislke to him. Not to mention his attempts to make money on the "How I would have done it" deal.

I believe that Blake is guilty as well, but his trial was not as widely broadcast as OJ's was, and so the public did not see him as much.

I agree, I could care less for either. But OJ had far too much evidence against him. For him to not be found guilty was a shock to most people in America. Blake, even though I believe he was guilty, had a good alibi, with witnesses. These two cases are no where near the same.

O.J.Simpson was alot more popular than Robert Blake. That is why, I think the media was taking a field day, with O.J. I think Robert Blake who didn't show that much popularity, should have been proved guilty. He certainly seemed and looked guilty with the circumstances of his mudering his wife O.J. Simpson, I feel ,did murder his wife also.

OJ had a more public trial- I know more facts, most people do too

    Blake's trial was relativly quiet

OJ was made racial by black people who were happy a black man got off. even black females felt this way.

there is a pic in my psyc book showing different reactions- all the white people are solem or sad and the blacks are cheering

I am white and I like OJ however, I don't like him in the sense of liking but I respect him as a person. Even tho he is the one that took lives.

It sure beats the hell outta me. They are quick to point the finger and not research before exercising poor judgment. For every incident that involves a black crime... I can triple that for whites.

I don't care about either one. They are both criminals and caused a lot of pain.

Did you hear about O.J. being put out of the restaurant in Kentucky? The owner was really proud of that one. He embarrassed himself more than he knows. Some people do anything for their 15 minutes of fame.

I for one am not an O.J. Simpson fan either, but, I recall him having a fair trial and being acquitted of murder. That means he is innocent. People need to "get over it" . That's what we are told about slavery. That's what we were told about lynchings and bombings. Get over it! Let the past stay the past! I guess that doesn't apply to O.J. Simpson. Or when the victim is white. God help us all! God help us all!
