    Per Microsoft Forums

    In Ms Access

    File>get external data>Import

You will loose the indexes you will need to create new indexes in Access.

If you use File>get external data>Link tables

The data will stay in the DBF but be accessible from Access as if it where an Access table. The Indexes will be maintained.

Access 2003 has some problems since it does not have an appropriate FoxPro extension/file type(.CDX). However there is a workaround posted at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/824264.

You can also download or buy a program program to convert the data. For example, Dbf2Mdb - Link: http://www.whitetown.com/dbf2mdb/
