Is God Good?

God has always been good. God is the creator, so He never had to "choose" to be good as you suggest. Evil came in when some of God's creatures rebelled against Him, namely some of the angelic realm and then man.

The Bible states: "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." (Mark 10:18).

One of Christ's names is Apha and Omega which mens He is the beginning and the end.

If you were a creator and a father of your creation, would you not love your creation.Does a painter paint and not love to do it! Does a weaver weave and do not love it! If a person loves something does anyone have to tell him too. God can not help whom he loves just like we can not. He knows the thoughts of man and that they are evil from his youth.Does a mother stop loving her children because they are disobedient

The word of God was written so we will know how to live well and right. To understand what life means and where it is going. There is only one God. he created the heavens and the earth. God is good because he made a choice to be. It is by his will just like he gives us a will to do good to whomever we will.To love God means hating evil.The fear of God means to hate the evil whose ways I hate with a passion...pride and Prejudice against God because he is not like you or what one expects he is too much work.Most people are arrogant and talk crooked talk. Gods word is wisdom- good counsel and common sense are its characteristic.

Well this is what bible said:

IS 45 :5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

IS 45:6That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

IS 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create EVIL: I the LORD do all these things.

To the lady below me If God didn't create evil, then why there a Lake of Fire at the end of the Road?. It not a good place.

God is Love. Satan is the Destroyer. Satan is the ruler of this world and all of the people in it, who reject the Messiah. You are blaming the wrong diety, for the chaos. God is there, and all you have to do is seek Him, and He will lead you to the Messiah, and the Messiah Jesus reveals His father to whom He sees fit. God is the I AM. He is the first andthe last. He is the creator of all things, and there was no creator before Him.

God isn't good, God is Great! lol

I won't begin to try to explain to you all the precepts of God's goodness, mainly because I don't understand it all myself. But no, good didn't exist before God, God is eternal, therefore He has always existed.

God is good by definition. Any evil done is by anyone other than God. Whether God adopted good or created it is something we do not know.
