What is the meaning of the saying "Live and Let Live"?

look at george bush you will realised what is the meaning of that.

Numerous ancient cultures had sayings very similar which that most likely derived from in its current form. Many people throughout history have understood it as well as many now having the gist of its meaning (individuals), but as a whole... Human beings STILL don't "Get IT"!!! Live your life and allow others to as well.

Living a moral productive life is enough work to keep anyone totally occupied for the duration of their life. Looking at other peoples lives is only a distraction, which is usually a way to keep from looking at your own life.

I believe the true meaning of this term is all about not judging others. To me it like living my own life and not judging others (i.e. gay, different religious sects, different cultures and races) Alcoholic Anomalous adopted this phrase long ago and it works for them so I think it can work for everyone and make a better world.

It means dont be so hard on someone who gave you a bad time. Forgive them and move on. You wont dwell on it, so much that you kill yourself over the stress... so live and let live

Live your life as you wish & let others do the same.

It means don't interfere with anybody personally until the other one allows you to . While dealing with him/her keep in mind that he/she has his/her own life to live,they have their own brains to work out ,and thtswhy U can't have your whims and fancies bugging them until and unless they feel it permissile.And the same aplies on us also,we can't let anybody interfere with our matters,it's not arrogance.It's our life n we know whom to allow personally and whom not to .

In its simplest form it means don't bother with other people's business.

Live your life, and let others live along with you.
