Who gets your vote?
Lets imagine that tomorrow there is a free & fair presidential elections in Egypt. Who would you vote for and why?
Oh come on guys, give me names. See this is a problem. I honestly can't see any potential candadites. Who has the necessary skills for mission impossible. I think we would have a serious problem if we have a free & fair elections. We would not be able to pick!!
Ok, i was misunderstood. I don't necessarily mean candadites like ayman nour, Noamaan Gomaa etc, perhaps other politicians or business men etc whom u think can do a good job. Egypt is more than 70 million, I am sure there are a few peple out there. Let me think out loud, how about Rasheed mohamed rasheed? I am not saying he is the one, but he did cross my mind.
Hope; good one. Here we go, i am sure there are a few men out there out of the 70+ million.

Oh my God, what a question, i have been thinking about it since the last comedic presidential elections, i mean did u actually see those people running for presidency.....
And the fact that so many egyptians picked Ayman Nour such a contrversial character shows either one of two things, we r sooo desperate for change that we'll pick the best of the worst or we r so accustomed to the fact that nothing gets done in Egypt on the straight and narrow that a little cheating, bribary and misinformation is regarded as o.k.
Now, who will i vote for, first of all the only person whom i thought years ago was good for change was Amr Moussa but that is over now, i would like to see a well educated person, in touch with the society (not too rich or else he would do nothing for the lower and medium class who r really struggling to get by), has an active role in politics nowadays, presents realistic plans for change including first of all enforcing new laws for the courts, the army, the police, encouraging foreign investments, improving education, medical services, social , enviromental improvement........... Oh My God where will he begin.
I could go on and on and on about things i am looking for and wishing for but u know what; the bottom line is : ANY CHANGE IS GOOD CHANGE.
Edit: Names??? Do u actually beleive that there are currently some names worthy to chose from? ABSOLUTELY NOT..... if there were, how long do u think it would have taken us to back up this candidate????
So like i said before Any Change Is Good that's my motto for now until we can get our democracy back and eventually see those names that are hidden from us. Those active youngmen who are working their butts off for this country but are not known coz they r commeners not the sons or relatives of people is authority.
EDIT 3: U WANT NAMES HOW ABOUT MOHAMED ABDEL SALAM EL MAHGOUB THE GOV. OF ALEX.
If he could clean up alex. to be so beautiful how about cleaning up cairo, besides if u ask anybody from alex. they love him, WHY NOT?
U can even read about him here http://alexandriaegypt.com/city/governorate.htm

Nice question. I thought to ask it myself once. I can't decide between Kalooka and Ismaily. LOL so we enjoy humor do we? Ismaily is an extremely talented writer with a deep connection to the sublime and what lies beneath. Kalooka is just full of profound thoughts and ideas with no real outlet to release them. Free and fair presidential election? That is an oxymoron. But we can all dream I guess.
Thanks for your vote. If I am elected:
First order of business: Everyone must learn how to stand in line and wait their turn. No more pushing and shoving to get to the front.
Second: No more spitting on the streets or throwing trash out of your car window.
Third: Do we really need all these bathroom attendents? Let's retrain and redeploy the workforce.

Who are the canditates?. I am not prepared to vote for movie celebrities and football players.
I imagine I can only vote for someone with the following qualities;
1. Well educated and has previous political experience in both foreign and internal affairs
2. Supported by a team of strong trustworthy politicians, who also have the experince, because those will be his team in the future.
3. Have a clear objective with timeline to achieve in all areas Health, education, economy, foreign policy, security.
4. Not funded or linked to a foreign country.
5. Lived and worked in Egypt all his life (maybe educated overseas, no problem).
6. Open minded with strong personality
7. Married to a well educated energetic first lady.
8 Speak very good traditional Arabic and English
Additional skills:
- MS Office hands on experience
- Good Communication Skills
- Willing to relocate to Heliopolis (accommodation and car provided)

There are names for sure, but how can they be elected in a normal way. I prefer not to mention their names instead of watching them getting beaten, stabbed, jailed or died in a street accident.
The super powers who planed to keep the control in their hands like that meant exactly to make anyone doesn't find a suitable name. They intended to limit our choices at the same time they punish anyone who might dream about it and they found a reason to make them disappear. Think about where are the first 2 runner up came after Mubarak in the last presidential election. Both are in jail for one reason or another. Another one who was a decent man and got very few votes (he died later in a car accident). Look at the actors who looked like candidates they are still there and happy. Some of them started to gain his reward.
In brief they think that we are all 'batata' sellers and they can deceive us this way and pretend this is democracy, but they are Egyptians and we are Egyptians who understand the game.

1- Any of the victims of torture in Egypt:
They know what it is like to be down-trodden. They know what it is like to be treated like an animal. They would never do the same to their fellow human beings.
2- Any poor man:
Any of the men who have to work day and night trying to bring food for their families or to help one of their sons and daughters to be married. They know what it is like to be poor. They know what it is life to live your life struggling for the basic needs of humanity. They would not steal and make people suffer from what they suffered from.
3- If you are looking for a specific personality, I have many:
A: Mona EL Shazley: I love her and I believe that she wants what is best for Egypt...did I say that I really love her ?
B: Ibrahim Eissa:
That's one brave man who fears no one and wants no one from this pathetic life.
C- Ayman Nour. I don't know. I believe he is a good guy but I am not sure.
Edit:
Lol at Shalfat, I love humor. Humor is the only thing that makes life bearable.

Fozio , you answered your Question " I honestly can't see any potential candidates. Who has the necessary skills for mission impossible. I think we would have a serious problem if we have a free & fair elections. We would not be able to pick!! "
i think we need to have someone wizout the Egyptian mentality knows how to differentiate Religion and politics , who knows the real meaning of MANAGEMENT.
maybe Non-Egyptian or Non-Arab !!
- KalookaLv 71 decade ago
I think we will be in safe hands if we vote for The MINISTRY OF COMMON SENSE.
Edit:
what names fozio? there re no names..there aren't anyone from the "known" names we see fit..The one who "fits" in our eyes is still sitting somewhere and have no idea that he deserves it!
Besides, no one stepped in from the elite to claim it (and you know what happened to the only one who claimed it)..and i won't give it to someone who didnt claim it,,coz who knows..he probably doesnt have the guts (at least).
of course we won't know who to pick if we get free and democracy, but at least, if we fail once or twice and mischose, we'd have the system that can repair our mistakes..if intentions are good, nothing is impossible.
Edit 2:
Ok, i vote for Ahmad Zuwail.
