Only have period after sex?
So, I have always had an irregular menstrual cycle, it is hereditary, nothing comes back irregular at gynos. I can go for 2-6 months w/ no period and than have one. But if I have sex it will cause me to have my period. Every time I have sex with my husband within 24 hours I have my period usually. Why could this be, does it elevate hormone levels or stimulate something........ What could cause this and is there anyway to regulate my cycle as we want to try to have kids but with period day after it is never going to happen.
Please no talk to your doctor stuff. I have and I do not want to go on masive hormone therapy if there is another way.

My guess is that orgasming could be stimulating contractions. This is why some doctors recommend sex in the 9th month of pregnancy to help start the labor process.
So, the gyno says there's nothing hormonally wrong? No ovarian cysts? Have you done a progesterone challenge test to see if your body makes enough estrogen? My personal opinion is that you should try the test to see whether it's estrogen, progesterone, or something else that is causing your infrequent periods. That will help determine what your next course of action should be.
I've heard Vitex (also called Chasteberry or Agnus Castus) is good for regularizing periods, and I just started taking it a couple of weeks ago. It's an herb made from the Chasteberry tree and it helps strengthen your body's hormonal signals for your monthly cycle.
Something else I'd recommend is to start charting (look up Fertility Awareness Method or basal body temperature on the internet). That way you can start to learn your body's patterns of ovulation (or anovulation, as the case may be). This might help you figure out what triggers you to ovulate/have a period. I'm doing that now because my husband and I would like to get pregnant next year.

Well I found out 6 years ago that I suffer from a condition called Endometriosis. I have severe cramping and pain during and after intercourse w/ my husband. And I know you say you don't want talk of doctors, but the way My doctors have been able to help me is w/ a low dose of Birth Control methods and pain meds. It's been a bumpy ride over the past 6 years, but w/ some of the Birth Control I have been able to get relief. I am sure that's not what you wanted to hear, and I'm sorry. But I thought I would share what has worked for me in the past. Good Luck
