I think what your looking for is not "classical" music, but movie soundtracks, for films such as starwars, lord of the rings, 3oo spartans. etc., this ;music is performed my orchestras, but is not classical in form or style. John Williams is a composer of many of the big films action sequences, and has bee nfor 30 years., if you have xm radio there is a station dedicated to sovie soundtracks.

classical is orchestra music form early 1700s until the early 1900s mostly, with composers such a Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Wagner etc. some songs are found in battle sequences, but vary rarely, "Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner is used in Apocalypse now! in 1977. but not many other examples in modern films after 1950s

    Source(s): Music is.
