do you use freecycle to recycle?

Update:

Shorty, you can always start one. get in touch with the main people at freecycle & ask to start a group.

my group took 7 weeks to complete & get onto the freecycle network

Update 2:

can't say:

there are groups all over the world

check out http://www.freecycle.org/

if there isn't one in your area, you can apply to start a group. It's fantastic for recycling re-usable items.

I am a group owner & it doesn't take much time when it's up & running

I absolutely use Freecycle to recycle. I have given a good used refrigerator and stove, lots of household goods and book, desk chairs, computer equipment and other items that were still useful to people who could use them. I have gotten several very useful things as well including an HP printer and 2 19" monitors that I use constantly for my work. Freecycle is a wonderful way to rid your home of things that are still in good condition by giving them to someone who will continue to use them. I can't think of a better way to recycle!!!

I have found so many things for my family and gifted many more through Freecycle.

Best thing, there is at least 1 Freecycle group in all 50 states as well as Guam and Puerto Rico. There are also groups in just over 80 other countries around the world.

As for MN, as Teag stated, there are 62 groups... check it out ;-)

Sorry Shorty, but maybe you are thinking of another program. There are 62 Freecycle lists in MN alone.

Go to www.freecycle.org and look for your local group.

I use freecycle. I recently got rid of 2 boxes of odd items. They were happy to get them. And they didn't go to the landfill. Alot of useless stuff people use for crafts. I love freecycle.

I think Freecycle is one of the best tools on the internet. My best friend sent me a link earlier this year and I'm addicted. Now I'm always t hinking...could someone else use this before I discard it. Amazing how much you can share with others instead of throwing in the trash!

We had a proper walnut tree shrink down, which made me very unhappy, yet it replaced into so speedy growing to be that it tangled all our wires, replaced into on the incorrect area of the domicile, and the roots have been invading the sewer pipe. I indexed the wood on freecycle, so quite of paying to have the wood carted, wood carvers appeared out of no the place and divided it up among themselves in an incredibly civilized way. It replaced into large to work out maximum of our tree became into musical instruments, etc. and not in basic terms burned as firewood. I on no account would have got here across those people on my own. We disposed of each and every of the duplicates as quickly as we consolidated our 2 families into one with little hassle. Dont enable it hassle you that some abuse the gadget. once you %. your recipient you are able to decide for a college over someone, for occasion or a puppy rescue org. over a collector. Ask the people what they'll do with your stuff and you will generally be pleasantly shocked. Our stronger english books went to a pupil learning the language to coach in her domicile united states, and sheet track went to a musician. I infrequently ask for something, it quite is greater of a charity for others. watch for opportunities to assist the unfavorable.

Yea. I got rid of a lot of unneeded items using freecycle, items that might have ended up in a landfill somewhere otherwise.
