What we can do if my colleague was arrested by religious police?

My colleague, a Filipino, non-muslim, was arrested by Mutawwa in Jeddah last night. He's found guilty because during evening prayer ('isya), the muttawa found him having chit-chat with a filipino girl in front of a shopping mall. And she's not his muhrim. Now both of them has been sent to jail for further process.

What we can do to release them? Do we have to hire a lawyer or just let it go?

Any advice would be highly appriciate.

Update:

What's the worst possible punishment for that kind of violation?

ok i would say don't worry he'll be out in 3 days

but he's filipino and saudis are usually racist, they look down on non-saudis (now many saudis are gonna disagree blah blah screw that you know it's true)

let's just hope they don't do anything, i mean they won't kill him or anything lol

worst they could do is ... hmm ... i don't really know

    but it's nothing serious, i don't think

all you can do is just wait for them to release him

tell your colleague i say DON'T TALK TO GIRLS IN PUBLIC

    ok, good luck

This is serious. No matter what you do, do not let things go. If you are not a citizen or resident there, then contact your embassy and let them know. Also, do speak to a lawyer there and inquire about possible sentences. And last but not least, pray to GOD. HAHAHAHAHAH!

Seriously though, I hate those religious police. May they burn in Hell if there be one.

    First contact your embassy .

they will say why you didn't respect the law .

so you have to go to the Jail Office and tell them this last time you should respect the law .

    I respect religious police .
