I've heard that in particular cities in Sweden, they'll burn charcoal on side of road to prevent the snow blocking the road.

In Indonesia, we used to use coconut shell lump charcoal (natural form, not the briquette) for BBQ or other outdoor cooking.

My colleague, a Filipino, non-muslim, was arrested by Mutawwa in Jeddah last night. He's found guilty because during evening prayer ('isya), the muttawa found him having chit-chat with a filipino girl in front of a shopping mall. And she's not his muhrim. Now both of them has been sent to jail for further process.
