Any news on Saudi media about Indonesian housemaids have been killed in Alfaj, KSA?

http://www.thejakartapost.com/detailheadlines.asp?...

"In an interview with Indonesian diplomatic staff and before a Saudi police officer, the two women said the seven family members had beaten them with ropes, power cables and handcuffs, as well as hitting and kicking their bodies."

I've searched over the internet, I didn't find any news in English from Saudi media regarding this murder.

Can the family of victims ask for blood money, even though the victims are Indonesians and the killers are Saudis?

Is Shariah law valid for Saudis if the victims are non-Saudis?

It’s really sad and awful crime affected many families.

The police arrested seven members of this family and charged them of the murder including a colonel working in the military in Riyadh …Also, one of the surviving victims admitted in her role in the work with the other victims of making a black magic to harm the children of this family. The 7 arrested members admitted of the crime and they claimed that they used violence with the 4 maids to force them to give information about the place they hided the black magic.

There is no doubts that they were killed because of the torture and yes the family of victims have the right to decide between killing the killers or asking for blood money……shariah law is valid for Saudis and non-Saudis alike. Of course the case is like most of the murder cases is just matter of time to implement many matters like finish the investigation, knowing the family of the victims desire and if one of the victims family refused the blood money the family of the killers will try hard to negotiate them to accept the money. So it will take a time. Also in sharia law if one of victims have children ……the killers will stay in jail until the children of the victims become adult and take their own decision withier they want the blood money or killing the murders of their mothers. So it will take time untill this case will close.

Also,There is something haven’t relived yet if the 2 victims will be charge or not….since one of them admitted of make a black magic and harm the children of the familly.....if the other admitted too they would be charged and jailed of doing somthing illegal (practice magic) .

Rina…..Don’t be an ignorant….just this year as far as I know 4 Saudis have been executed because they killed Asian persons. 2 of them were Saudi soldiers killed a Pakistani and every person watched the Saudi TV knew there names and the victim name and that they were executed.

    here is other story....

If you can’t read in Arabic just….use google translator.

I’m not defending anyone……I just tell you my honest opinion and yes I understand that our legal system is way behind , full of gabs , need to change or reform to protect every single person right….I hope for this ugly crime a justice end

Im not by any means going to take sides with the horrific family that did this to their domestic workers, but look!... this is one situation.... Just look at the crime in your own countries!.. The media always looks for the negative.. This will make the world think that ALL Saudi's are like this.. Which in fact they are not.. There was one case a few years back where the housemaid enlisted the help of a fellow maid to tie herself up to make it look like the family did all this to her, just so she could get a free ticket home.. which after investigation landed her up in prison instead of a ticket ride home.. Im not saying this is the case, but sure there are bad situations all over the world.. But there are very good situations also.. The media just doesnt want to publish how "Sally the maid was treated wonderful and had many long and well years with so and so family in Saudi and is sad to finally retire and move home"... it would bore the socks off us... So dont generalize and think this is the norm..

It's sad how some treat their maids. If you read Arab News daily you find stories about torture & murder like this one very frequently. No wonder the world thinks of Saudis as savage killers.

I love KSA. But Saudis should change their ways to start getting better recongnition. I'm sure these are just a minority within, but it needs to stop. & if you notice most of the stories involve Asian workers, that come from a poor background. It just supports the theory that Saudis think of expats as lesser beings. I don't want to believe it. But that doesn't change it.

Blood money? I don't think so. Saudi would have never paid blood money for immigrants.

And they accused those housemaids performed black magic? Was sharia law made from Harry Potter book?.

The fact is: in Saudi, sharia law is only valid if the victims are Saudi.

Believe me, the settlement for this case will be like this:

    - the victims will be accused for black magic. This will be punished severely under sharia law.

    - the murderers will be convicted for killing.

    - the victims then will give pardon to the murderers, and in return the victims will be released from "black magic" charge.

Every body happy with this settlement? I don't know. But this is just another fact of immigrants life in Saudi, especially asian immigrants.

If you don't agree with me, please provide any link or source how many Saudis had been executed for killing immigrants from asia?
