Hey you Cheerleader guys I need ya help!!!!?

I'm gonna cheer this year for my high school but I'd like to be able to do a back hanspring and a toe touch but i can't!!! :'(

I've been trying to get it but no success.

I ain't flexible and I never cheered before, what can i do?

I mean I dnt wanna any spotter cuz i dont have one, so, I'd like to do it by myself.

I almost get de back handspring, but I'm not to fast to put my hands in the ground and I fall, Ouch! also I'm afraid to do it.

PLEASE YOU CHEER GUYS HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!

    We had a guy on my squad when I was in HS (me: grad. in '97, cheered for 3 years, captain). He just did A LOT of stretching. That's the only way you are going to gain flexibility. And it helps to do squats to gain muscle strength in your quads/hams. Really try to power through your jump. And remember to "roll" your hips under your spine at the top of your jump.

    As far as the back handspring... turn your hands inward so that your fingers are facing each other. You want to "shrug"/pop through your shoulders to get the "spring". Don't undercut (it looks like you make an O when you do it)... try to jump back and out just a bit. ( I taught myself to do backhandsprings when I was 14.)

    the only guys at my school that cheered were gay. is this the move you want to make? if so, be careful
