Selling photo to a magazine to use in a cover.?
I have one high-quality photo with city scenery posted on one of the photo sharing websites and one of the local real estate magazine wants to place this photo into their cover page. What is the proper price to ask and what is the process involved? I've never sold photos before...

Photo prices are negotiated, and vary depending on the status of the photographer, the uniqueness of the photo, the proposed use of the photo, and the desire and wealth of the buyer.
Considering that you are just starting to sell and the buyer is a small local magazine, don't expect too much. But you may be able to restrict them from reselling it to others without further payment to you. Of course you may kill the deal too.
Try to get them to offer something, then negotiate from there. If they will not offer, then name a price you would be very happy with and negotiate down.

I have a solution for you. There are some major sites that promote your photos. If you have good photos you can sell them easily here. Just sign up and upload your photos. Once accepted your photos will be downloaded for a price. You get your money every time the photo is downloaded, so every good photo is a win-money to you. Here there are some good links for you: (by the way, it's free):

the price depends on many things. Work a deal you think is fair. But make sure you only give them limited rights and one time useage right. Meaning they can use it only for the agreed reason and would have to pay you again to use it aqgain.

As a guy, my remark is in all hazard undesirable, yet i think of the two styles of covers are effective. in particular, i'm reassured that men nevertheless want females and females want men (to a pair quantity). besides, i've got taken interest in a undeniable lady's incontrovertible fact that ethical and functional concerns are a similar in the long-term. i individually have confidence that men who in basic terms seek for females with in basic terms actual attributes deserve no longer something greater effective than what they want, that's what they're going to get (I view affirmative action further because of the fact the businessman who won't hire a useful lady is hurting himself merely as much as her).

i doubt they would pay too much.
Would this be a one off use? What is their circulation? What city are you in?
I think we need to know the answers to the above first before giving you an idea of price.
