  • Home auctions - what kind of savings?

I'm wanting to buy a house just outside of St Louis MO. I can't get a mortgage but do have some cash. I'm thinking of buying in an auction. Has anyone here purchased a house in these areas via a auction and if so what kind of savings can be expected?

  • How is eztrader not a scam?

I saw an ad, and decided to click through.

I've searched on Yahoo, and found nothing that states that this is not a scam.

Exactly how is it not a scam? You pick a share and if its going to go up or down - and regardless of if it goes up or down, you make money. How exactly does that work? How is this not a ponzi?

Common sense tells me this is a ponzi scam. Can anyone explain how it is not?

  • Water Softener - Use to use pellets, found crystals in softener in house i just moved into.?

I use to use the pellets in my water softener, but i just took the lid off the water softener in the house i just moved into to find it 2/3rds full of crystals.

My question is, are these any good, and how much water should i put in there?

What is better, the pellets or the crystals? Can softeners use both?

    Any help appreciated.

  • Changing the point system on Yahoo Answers?

I've seen more and mroe useless "Answers" from people who will put things down like:

    "Sorry, don't know the answer"

    or

    "Sorry, i use xyz instead"

I think to myself - why even post. Obviously they just want the 2 points so they can go up a level (woohoo!).

So why does Yahoo not subtract a point for every thumbs down? Or perhaps deduct 5 points if a post get 5+ thumbs down?

I think something should be done to get rid of these stupid posters with the useless posts.

    Rant over :)
