Just remain professional and avoid direct contact if necessary. If you are in a working enviroment then you still have to be socialable and polite. You don't have to like someone to give them common courtesy and respect. Unless you are abrupt, lack home training, and class. I don't believe in pretending, but at work, you should remain professional and exhibit courtesy as well proper etiquette. It would depend on the social setting. You can remain stedfast on your point and agree to disagree. Just because you don't agree or someone else doesn't agree with your view or vice versa. They still deserve respect. Just clearly communicate your position and stand by it. You can't force your views on others, or expect everyone to agree with what you think.

Believe it or not, the solution is not all that complicated. You simply ignore them. I know the warm and fluffy thing to do is embrace differences and be open-minded but all of that is a waste of time. You are at work. You are not there to make friends or to win popularity contests, you are there to do a job. If there is a person making it difficult to do that job, you must take steps to ensure you can continue to do that job. It's okay to respectfully disagree on any subject, do this out of respect and it will not be difficult to continue to do your job without undue stress and agrivation.

I would remain professional. It's my job, I don't have to agree with peoples morals. In counseling, I present their options and they choose. It's not my right to preach my morals. Remember it's just a job, how othe people choose to live their life, should have no impact on how you choose to live yours.

When I don't like someone I work with, I only talk with them about work..I don't get friendly or sit with them on break or hang out during lunch or after work. I find that this helps me keep my perspective and not be snappy with anyone.
