Windows Vista Operating System?
I bought a new laptop with Vista. How do you get the different windows to stack? Is that only available on a more advanced version of Vista? I have home basic.

All you have to do is click alt and tab and they will roll with each click. To get your desktop to stack look at the bottom left hand corner by the start button and there will be a window there. click on it and it will stack. If you need more help let me know. email me on here. also if you have an edition that does not have the stack feature you can go to http://www.otakusoftware.com/blog/category/topdesk... and do a free trial. This trial can also be used on windows xp. If you like what you see you can just but that feature for your pc. So you wont have to upgrade and spend more money. Not to many people know of this site and service, but I use it on my vista laptop. I have a premium edition and get the stacked windows but this service gives you more than one way to do things. Try it for free. I know you will like it.

By stacking, do you mean like this:

If you have Home Basic, you can't do this; this feature is provided by Windows Aero, which is only found in Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Enterprise, and Windows Vista Ultimate. If you are willing to get Windows Aero, then check if your laptop as a sticker saying "Windows Vista Premium Ready." If you have that sticker, then you can buy Windows Vista Home Premium if you'd like. I think they would give a discount since you have Home Basic already. Otherwise, if it says "Windows Vista Capable," then you're out of luck on Windows Aero.
