Any ideas for "something borrowed" for my wedding day?

My "something old" is my grandmothers wedding ring.

My "something new" is my dress.

My "something blue" is a blue monogram on my panties.

I need "something borrowed". I already have all my jewelry and my petticoat and shoes. And I don't want 1 item to count as 2. Like I don't want my grandmothers ring to be my "something old" and "something borrowed". Plus it's mine, I'm not borrowing it. My mother gave it to me for my wedding day. Anything ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Update:

I already have a tiara and my jewelry. I had to buy jewelry because my mom didn't have any except for pearls that were ivory and my dress is white. I already spent a fortune on buying all my makeup and lipstick so I am going to use it. And I just bought 2 bottles of new parfume, one especially to wear for the wedding. But I do like the idea of still trying to find something from my mother since I have something from my grandmother already. Maybe I can put the pearls in the bouquet somehow.

How about something borrowed from your mother since you have the something old from the grandmother? This way you can have something from three generations that were each used on the wedding day. Talk to your mom and see what she may have still that was used that day then. Maybe her veil or a wrap that went over the shoulders then or the bouquet if it wasnt tossed in the reception or if it were artificial? See what she has still. Congratulations and best wishes on your day.

my mother had a traditional coin in her shoe, that my grandfather borrowed her for this reason. But that could not have been totally confortible. What about a hand bag? Could you borrow one from someone? Or something really simple that you would only think of at the last minute that you need. My dress was new, my garter was blue, my something old was my pettycoat, and something borrowed was a small clutch from my maid of honor. I had a friend that borrowed a $20 from the groom and put it in her garter, then when he took the garter off he got his $20 back, it was funny.

    Good luck and congrats.

Location: Somewhere on the waterfront. It's at a beach when I see it! When: Sometime in the summer, very pretty, early evening (about 5pm) Colors: All shades and hues of blue! And Ivory of course! My attire: Something light and earthy that doesn't come all the way to my feet. Longer hair in loose curls down my back but some pulled back out of my face. Jewelry: A pendant that has been passed down among the women in my family for several generations hung around my neck with a beautiful piece of blue ribbon. A gorgeous blue anklet and toe ring that would match my bridesmaids! And some beautiful blue dangle earrings. Shoes: None! His attire: A black suit with a white shirt and black tie. My ring: Something vintage and silver! His ring: Don't know, whatever he picks out! Reception: Same location as we held the ceremony at. All sorts of music. Some sappy slow songs, some fun dance love songs, some crazy dance songs, and some songs to just listen to! All food homemade like a cookout except a bit different. Do things like grilled chicken, shrimp, and steak. Maybe burgers! Who knows? Lots of side dishes and appetizers! Loads of dancing and playing sand soccer and football. A bonfire later that night with smores and stories! (That would be the time for toasts if anyone wanted to make any) Honeymoon: A few days after the wedding with the families at the beach and then off to Venice, Italy! Some random tidbits would be to have the man who raised me that I consider my father but who isn't really walk me down the aisle. I would also walk to "Beautiful (Everything)" by Lifehouse. And my mom would sing at the wedding! Oh! And I'd get my bridesmaids and I to learn a choreographed dance just to let everyone have some laughs! (I'm from the south so I'm all about entertainment and hospitality!) It wouldn't be large... We'd invite maybe 75-100 people and not expect half of them to come because they just wouldn't. And we'd rent a big beach house so everyone could stay there instead of having to get hotel rooms! Um... I'd have 5 bridesmaids (I know who they'd be too!) And I know who will be my flower girl because she'll be about 6 when we finally get married! We won't have a ring bearer because there aren't any little ones in our families that are boys who are old enough to be a ring bearer! I'd worry about them swallowing the rings and choking! We'd make it more about our families than about us. It would follow our personalities though and be laid back but still classy. Oh! For our cake we would do cupcakes with one really large cupcake at the top to cut for pictures! And for his groom's cake it would be something shaped like an XBox 360 or PS2! Holy cow that was a lot! And we're not even getting married yet! LOL!

I borrowed perfume from my Maid of Honor.

    Some other things I've seen:

    Bobby pin

A penny (this also covers "a sixpence in the shoe")

    A tissue or hankerchief

    Good luck and congratulations!

My sister borrowed a little angel pin from a friend. She had been planning on borrowing my corset, but changed dresses so she didn't need it. I like the idea of borrowing from your mother, but something from one of your bridesmaids might be nice too. Maybe one of them has a perfume or some lipstick that you could borrow for the day.

I love the idea above about borrowing from your mother!!! Good thinking! I would say borrow some pearls or something that could be put in your bouqet from your mom. Well good luck!!

Well, why don't you try borrowing something for your hair. Like those types of flowers that clip on your hair but are real cute and don't look tacky (at least I don't think). Or, instead of using your NEW earrings or a bracelet., why don't you borrow some from your mom or another family member. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

I borrowed my grandmother's veil. I wasn't going to wear one at all... but my mom suggested it, and it perfectly covered my chapel length train. Still didn't like the idea of putting something in front of my face, so I didn't, but it was still nice to be wearing something from my grandparents' wedding day when both of them could not be there that day.

Every mother sews and has a sewing kit - at least that I know of. My suggestion, borrow one of your mother's safety pins or a special pin she always wears. Pin it inside of your dress - where your legs are somewhere in between all your dress layers this way it can't prick you. It will also come in handy if an accident happens and you need to pin something up!

On my wedding day, my sister in law gave me a penny to put in my shoe as something borrowed. I gave it back to her the next day. It was the same penny my mother in law had let her borrow on her wedding day.
