Why did Yahoo suspend my Yahoo Answers Account?

I didn't do anything wrong! All I did was post the same question twice, but it was because the first time I accidentally posted it in the wrong catagory! I didn't even get a notice of a violation! Plus, the worst part is that I'll never know the actual reason that it was suspended!

Go to the Forum, then Wrongful Deletions and ask. Yahoo staff will get back to you.

No doubt this can come as a shock when it happens without your first being given a warning and a chance to correct the situation before having this happen, but if you would adjust your profile settings to allow getting Instant Messages, there is at least a slight possibility that a solution may be found to your problem.

Somebody reported you. You should have received an e-mail with the reason of your violation, but as Yahoo is going weird lately maybe that is why you didn´t.

You can always contest the violation/cancellation:

    send an e-mail to answers-abuse@cc.yahoo.inc.com

    or

post your complain in the Forum:

    Good luck.

You did something wrong, all right. Posting the question more than once is a clear violation of Rule 12 of the Community Guidelines. That's how you got your account suspended. Now you got your answer. I suggest that you read the rules more carefully: http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines...
