My laptop has recently started freezing up, anyone know why?

Its 2 years old. Ive cleaned up the files and defragmented. Thanks.

    take to a technician and have phisicaly cleaned up. Your computer maybe overheating and that's why it's freezing up !! Got it ? :)

    Sounds strange, but believe me, I had the very same problem. THe cooler was to filthy that it was unable to keep the CPU in the right temperature.

    Maybe you are overloading your system with downloads, and games, beyond its capacity.

    probably have a hidden virus. do a full system scan
