Source(s): STILL There are plenty of things in every day life that are specifically a bane to use for a Lefty -- everything from those stupid hand can openers (you know, the ones where you don't plug them into the wall), the Knives that come with dinnerware, scissors (horrible -- my hands are always ripped up), those horrible Spiral Bound Notebooks (ALWAYS particularly painful), the horrible desks in classrooms (although I can now find lefty specific designs SOMETIMES), camera controls (ever try to use the shutter or the grip that is OPPOSITE your strong hand sides?), etc etc etc. This Empty-Nesting Single Retiree has Adapted over the lifetime ... sometimes my siblings do still LAUGH Themselves silly over how I pull start my Chain Saw or Power Washer, and they always find it amusing for me to use my camera (and I use a Digital SLR) upside down ... to commenting on the 'strange' look of my golf clubs -- but .. it is DEFINITELY EASY to identify my things -- after all .. NO ONE else in my family is a Lefty -- so the things HAVE to be mine!
