Encryption to CDs/DVDs media?
Hi, is there any software out there in the market (preferably freeware) that enable the encryption of CDs that work in all Operating system, can only read the content of the CD only if correct password match.

Well if I am not wrong, there is no such software freeware or shareware.
Because the problem in this scenario that occured is support from Operating System to the encryption. It can be possible only if the operating system hides the data or make it in-accessible before entering correct password. But interestingly no operating system do support this theory.
Otherwise where the encrypted data will be kept before de-cryption, and if someone suggest you to make a temporary folder in HDD, then it would be misuse of CD/DVD disc concetp and HDD space. Or even in this particular scenario there must be some file shown as CD content which will then be encrypted.
There are many Vault softwares which tends to do many items are also free, but Vault are something that doesn't fit on this situation of CD/DVD burning.

I've thought about this as well, as I burn alot of CDs containing personal information. Wouldn't want them to fall into the wrong hands! Anyhow, encryption is added protection, but it's a hassle if you plan to use the CD on different computers (you may have to install the software on each computer that will use it). So I started to break and shred my old backup CDs. Then I came across the Compact Disc Eraser, and have used it ever since - it's a new gadget for everyone who stores important information on CDs, it wipes out all the data!

Sorry, there is no possible way to recover it unless you made (and still have) a recovery password. The whole point of BitLocker is to make access impossible without the key or the recovery password.
