What to put in eiffel tower vases for our centerpieces?

Long story short the man went out and bought these tall thin vases called eiffeil tower vases and now i have no idea what to do with them. Needs to be cheap but classy, and for a fall wedding.

THanks

Flowers or feathers would look very elegant. What about Peacock feathers, very exotic. There are even lights you can put in them. Best wishes

Ok my mom and I just finised our floral arrangments and we used the eiffel tower vases too. they dont get in the way first of all, second they look very elegent in pictures i.e. go to this website this is where im getting married and they have a pic of the reception hall using those vases, www.walnutcreekchapel.com , we put 5 red roses 1 white rose lots of greenery and some white stuff hangging out the bottom they look wonderful, also we filled the vases up with red and clear dazzlers you can get those at hobby lobby... what im trying to say though the possibilites are endless I know it seems like they are hard to use but they are not that bad but one thing you wanna remember is you might want to weigh it down and make sure the weight is even so it doestn topple over very easy, i hope this helps some. you can email me if you would like any other help.

My wedding is in a few weeks...this is what we are using for our centerpiece: My colors are chocolate and pink. We found vases for a dollar (commonly called eiffel tower vases because that is the shape of them), not too tall and my mom arranged silk white and pink flowers for each of them. She then put chocolate and white tulle and randomly tucked some in the flowers and around the vase. Each of the vases are going to be filled with coffee beans so that more of the chocolate color is tied in. Each vase is going to be placed on an antique pink depression glass plate (my mom has a huge collection of it) and then more coffee beans scattered around the plate. Hope this helps and gives you some ideas! You can search "eiffel tower vase" and you will get lots of images to look at!

ah, buy some calla lillies (bulk, if possible--try sam's club, costco, or a floral wholesaler in your area) and put two or three of varying heights in each vase... very simple but classy centerpiece for a wedding any time of year. callas come in more than just the traditional white too! there is a beautiful black (deep purple or deep red) calla, or a lovely yellow-gold color that might accent your reception tables perfectly...

these would be great paired up with a couple of fall-scented votive candles on each table... maybe a pumpkin pie or apple cinnamon scent? pretty and simple... and most importantly, cheap!

Not a great choice. When they are on the table, you can't talk to the person across from you and they block the view of everything. And they will ruin your table pictures. If you put anything in them, they will be that much higher and bigger. People coming to your wedding want to see the two of YOU, not some vase.

Rule of thumb for weddings: Centerpieces should not be more than 12 inches high.

Rule number 2: men should not be making vase decisions. Have him pick out the cake topper.

Rule number 3: Repeat after me. "I AM THE BRIDE AND I CAN HAVE ANYTHING I WANT". (groom cannot say this, he is not the bride)

    Have him return them.

I am a florist at Kroger, and you can buy alstroemerias in bunches of 10-15 for only $3.99.. Most alstroes have very, very long stems and they come in almost every color. At my store in Ohio, they are available year-round. Stems are like two feet long. Stick three or four in the vase, and it would be very pretty.

If you like something else, not flowers, you can collect sticks and roll them in glue, and then powder them with glitter in the colors for your wedding. Or you can spray-paint them silver or another color. It looks very modern, yet wild and artistic at the same time.

Best of luck to you and I wish you a happy wedding!

i like the branch/twig idea i think it'd be really pretty. with glitter on it or spray painted. they have decorated twig like things at craft places (with little red "berries" on them and such) so depending on your colors you have lots of options with them.

    check out theknot.com

and look at their centerpieces pictures, they have tons of cute ideas

i think the tall vases are the best for the centerpieces because you can have stuff branching out of the top and people can still see across the table because the part branching out is above all their heads. so your table looks amazing and the line of sight isn't interrupted.
