Does the state make you PAY to visit your children if their taken away....?
I know a lady whose grandchildren were removed from her daughter's home. I won't get into detail, but they are constantly begging for money (even have a website) to help them "fight the system". Now she's saying she can only visit her grandchildren if she pays $70 an hour. Anyone know if there's any truth to the fact that a state would make a parent or grandparent pay to visit children? It just sounds like a ploy to get money to me.

Hey SouthernBelle, All that beauty and brains too. I think I love you!!!! This is a bogus lie and they should be punished for this fraudulent behavior. The parents are the only ones expected to carry this burden as far as I know. Grandparents have no financial responsibility to these kids or the CPS system. If the system is charging her they should be turned in to the courts. They have far too much power as it is!!!

i dont know, i always thought that when ur kids are takin from you, there are no more rights to see them i never heard that u can pay to see them becuz usually ur kids get takin away for some bad reason so i dont think once there takin, u have any rights to them and payin wont let u see them if ur rights been takin away but thats just my opinion that grand mother needs to see a lawyer.

My Godson was taken away from his mother due to post pardum depression. She sees her son often (He lives with his father) and she has never once paid to see him.
I visit him often and I as well have never paid.
Sounds like a scam to me.
