Brian Dunkleman hosted the show with Seacrest in the first season but declined to rejoin the show in season 2
From wikipedia:
"In Season 2, Seacrest surfaced as the lone host. Dunkleman reportedly hated working on the show and the studio was dissatisfied with his performance"
He's went back to doing stand up around the country.
