LOST: Is the black cloud Jacob?

did you slow the scene down on tivo or something to see Jacob? you can see a person there if you do--- so Ben was really talking to someone. you can see it on this web site.

I hadn't thought of that. It could be a possibility. I've heard the cloud could be:

1)the spirit of the island (although Jacob could be basically the same thing, in different form)

2)the "security system" that Rousseau claimed it to be. i read an interesting theory that there are other 'others' on the island, and that the security system/cloud is what is keeping them from coming around.

It could be. Who in the heck is Jacob? Can you believe they went into the future tonight. It was great.

i think there all purgatory and the black thing is the devil and because John Locke is so good cause he was healed and all and forgave people he sees it white and that's god when they die on the island they go to hell or heaven
