The most obvious answer, of course, is a career in politics.

Most people, when choosing a major, decide what they want to do at that point, so it shouldn't have been the problem it is for you. However, there are things you can use a degree for that bear little relevance to the subject of the degree.

For instance, you can approach any company and declare, rightly, that you have a degree. This portrays to them you have the determination and work ethic sufficient for gaining a degree. It also says of you that you can 'stick it out' and are not a quitter. These are usually considered as 'plus points' when looking at a job candidate.

There are also educational oportunities for teaching the subject to others, should you be brave enough to face class rooms full of people who were like you!

There is little wrong with the law as a career financially, though you may need to grow wider shoulders to deflect all the vitroil and criticism that comes with 'joining a lower life order' (or whatever your detractor may wish to call you) If it really doesn't appeal to you how about public relations? Or even advertising, where the philosophies learned may prove to be of advantage.

Whatever you decide, make sure it is something you look forward to doing...You will not be happy (nobody is) if you are going to work purely because you 'have' to without any enjoyment in the task or in the results of your effort.

Of course, you can choose ANY career, and never worry about political science again. Plenty of people have chosen careers that have nothing to do with the subjects they took at university (or college, if you are in the USA)

    Good luck,

Become a smarmy politician. Or become a news analyst for a major international consulting firm and make fun of smarmy politicians for a paycheck.
