2003 TrailBlazer LS?
A couple of questions if I may. First concerning the "Tattle Tale" / "SDM". Was Chevy stupid like a Fox by running the air bag actuation control through the SDM or will the bags still deploy if the SDM is unplugged??? If they will not work when unplugged, can another mating plug using jumpers be fitted to the harness to enable them to work without the Recorder working??? Second, what brand and or model code readers do U like & dislike & why??? As I am now disabled and this is the only machine I will probably ever work on with need for a code reader, that which I buy doesn't have to have all the bells & whistles, just get'er done! Tnx. John
I guess nobody here has any Knowledge about this??? I thought that perhaps some real wrenches hung out here, guess not though!!!

most of the mechanics do not want to answer your question cause what you had asked the question is not really clear . but beside the point anyway the air bags will not go off if the key switch is in off position and the harness connecting to the airbag is taken off and do not try to jump across the wires going to the airbag it holds a small voltage in it or anything in harness loop to connect it to the air bag assembly hummm i do not know about any special tool that mimics the computer to check the airbag condition . sorry ! I have an innova digital code reader that reads both OBD II and CAN (Can codes is an updated version of OBD II) CAN codes are basically a more advanced computer program designed for newer and more powerful computer controls. It cost me about 200 something dollars so it will read any vehicles 1996 and newer well into 2010 and possibly later and i have seen better ones but they costs too much like 2,000 to 3,000 dollars but i think the one i have is one of the very good ones for my money and it is upgradeable!! the very basic ones are not upgradeable
