1996 Olympic Games?
My husband has found what appears to be a 1996 Olympic Medal. I understand they were held in Atlanta. It is quite heavy and has a torch on the front, etc. and on the back engraved, 20th Olympiad 1996. How can I verify, it is what I think it is, and if so is there anyway I can find the exact owner and have it returned to them. All information forwarded will be researched and verified, to the best of my ability.

It should have the event and name on the back of the medal. Go to www.usatf.org, they have any information on athletes in track and field from the U.S. if the medal is not a track medal then look for the U.S.O.C.

thank 4 being so noble. The world needs more honest peoples like your family. i don't know how to verify if the medal is an Olympic medal but i am glad you found it so that the owner will have it again.

You should go on line to the Olympic website. If you do not find anything there go to the police.
