What are you doing to make the world a better place?

"As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world - that is the myth of the atomic age - as in being able to remake ourselves." ~~Mohandas Gandhi

What are you doing to remake yourself into a better person. Did you realize that if each one of us made one positive change tomorrow, we could radically transform the world -- donate to charity, volunteer in a children's cancer ward, make a compost pile, recycle newspapers, find a new use for plastic items for art projects or around the house, be kind to others, stop putting harsh chemicals into our municipal and residential sewer systems.

It doesn't take much effort or cost much money to make our world a better place to live, work and play.

Tell me: what are you doing to improve the quality of life in the world?

More and more each day. I've installed a Pelonis hot water

on tap in the bathroom...Europe's had this forever, I've

switched all my lightbulbs to the 10 year kind. My outside

watering bill is down to $9.00 a month. I get paper bags at

the grocery store, cut them up, decorate them and use for

wrapping paper around the holidays. I wait 6 weeks between

laundry and then use the local public one instead of throwing

something in my wash every day. And a lot of other things.

I am involved in animal rights, Make A Wish, Doctors

Without Borders and send money to the African disasters.

I try and find homes for stray animals and only use my car

a couple of times a week. My gas for the month is usually

around $25.00. This is such a little drop in the big pond,

but as soon as I retire I plan to be a lot more involved in

giving back to a life that's given me so much.

I help in erasing the reactive mind which is the cause of all evil in the world and create a world without criminal, insanity and war.
