What is this?

I've noticed for about the last six months that when I get off of an elevator, I still feel like I am on it and I become very disoriented walking and stepping as if the floor is actually higher than it really is. It lasts for about 2 minutes or so. Also, if I am at a red light and there is a white car in front of me or next to me it seems like their car is moving when its really not. I'm not sure what this is, but it's pretty scary. Does it sound like vertigo? And what can I do to stop this?

Are you on any medication? This could be a side effect of prescription medication. Discuss it with your doctor.

I've had problems with dizziness too... several things can cause it. The thing to check would be anemia and have your ears checked for signs of infection. Vertigo is a hard one to check on, it could be that...

Go see a doctor. They might refer you to an ear doctor or optical doctor. Sometimes this would happen to me and I would get dizzy. It turned out I had a hearing loss. If it is really bothering you I would have someone else take you soon.
