Okay. So I had a dream that I died.?

This is pretty obvious and topical.

It was a nightmare. AKA a toxic dream, usually a very realistic, upsetting dream that is most likely to occur when your body's cleansing system is overloaded during sleep. They are usually terrible nightmares and their purpose is often simply as a signal that you went to bed in a physically toxic state.

Too much food, alcohol, stress, loud noise, etc.

Thanks for including the context of your dream -- visiting Dachau. Certainly, it explains in part why you chose that specific imagery. Still, I would wonder who the men in the truck are and what they might represent for you. It's possible that you feel that something or someone is "killing" you, or stabbing you in the throat -- which could mean silencing you. Sounds as if you had some identification with those who suffered in concentration camps.

Ultimately, you are the final authority on what the dream means. It isn't something you can look up in a dream dictionary.

To dream of death being you died or someone else is not physical...it could mean a end to a matter, a friendship, a habit, a ..whatever....

I truly thing the reason you had that dream and in that vivid memory is your trip to the concentration camp. I would have had the same dream.... just anxiety...
