What should I do if 2 companies want to hire me?

Next week I have 2 interveiws and they both really seem to want me. I'm a Production Manager, one company is in town but I may have to work swing, the other is an hour away.{we have bad winters] Whats the proper way to listen to both offers if one want me right away. I know I can say I need to think about it but when people said that to me I usually kept looking and hired the next person. I want to way my options, any advise would help.

Update:

Should I let the first company know I have other offers/interviews?

Be honest to them say you got another offer and give them a solid timeframe when you will get back to them. Personally I would go with the one in town.

Commuting will be a thing of the past in the next 10 years, nobody can afford the gas prices to get to long distant jobs and public transportation, no matter how reliable, is very constricting if you need to go to appointments or need to get your kids in case of accidents.

Choose the one that is closer, gas is not getting any cheaper, so you will save money, and also the 2 hour commute a day really adds ten to your week. that is time you could spend with your family, or earning overtime. so if the offer from the one company that is farther away is not at least 30 percent higher, then I would take the one closer. I would also look at which one of the companies will be around, in say ten years, and which one might not. Try to schedule the interviews at almost the same time during the week, and then tell them you will give them a definite answer within a week, that will give you time, and they will have a set time that you will get back to them. Do not leave the time frame open ended.

See who is going to offer you the best bang for the buck, swing could be nice if you have other things to do in the day, and the price of gas could be the extra money you may get paid going to the one that is an hour away. See oif you can get a tour of the company. Find out how the company treats their employees, how they promote from with in or new hires. Make sure that one employee who has been there 17 years does not think you are there to take your spot because you'll be out before the retire.

I Would Take The One That's Closist To You Because If You Have Bad Winters And The Other One Is An Hour Away You Might Not Be Able To Get Home.

You have to ask yourself questions first...are you just looking for a job or do you want career opportunities? Do you want to work for a good company or a great one? How important are pay & benefits? THere are more but this is a start...next you ask them what opportunities does their company offer? Ask them if they are a great company and when they say yes ask what makes them great. Tell them you want to work for a great company or one that is on the way to becoming great, (means being the best at what you do). By knowing what you want and asking questions you'll know which if either company is right for you and if they offer you a job on the spot, you should have no problem answering on the spot.

i grow to be not extremely particular the place precisely to checklist yet in basic terms to immigration.. even however, by using different's solutions, i assume ICE sounds perfect! properly, i heard in case you checklist(help) ICE RE unlawful immigrants, you will get some kinda paid (like $ few hundreds in line with individual). it fairly is in basic terms a rumor however.. yet i understand for particular, if the immigration found out the corporate hires the unlawful immigrants, he/she has to close the business enterprise for particular volume of time(i think of 6mon).. then get a penalty and something like that... of direction, the staff would be deported!!
