Should I get a BOA Rewards AMEX card?
I have a Bank of America Visa credit card, and I have the option to upgrade to a Rewards American Express Card. It sounds fine except I've never had an AMEX card, and I was wondering if they are really accepted in most places. I want to be sure that I can use them anywhere, or almost anywhere at least. Does anyone know, or do you know of places or types of places that often don't accept them?

First of all, Bank of America has an abysmal customer service record, so I suggest not going through them at all.
That being said, let's look at American Express VS. Visa.
Most merchants will take Visa/Mastercard because they have a low percentage to pay to the credit card company.
The American Express usually has less merchants take it because it costs the merchant more to accept it. If you like the terms and conditions and the rewards, take it. If BoA is offering you a rewards card, you can always shop around for a different rewards card. Just go to www.bankrate.com or www.creditcards.com and shop around!
