Who remembers the TV show Space: 1999?

Ooh boy talk about bringing back memories. I liked Catherine Schell who played the alien Maya and Martin Landau as Capt Koenig

I remember that show and all of the publicity surrounding the premier. It was supposed to go head to head in syndication with reruns of Star Trek, then the 800 pound gorilla. None of the characters stand out in my mind as being particularly memorable. The first episode that comes to mind is the one where a planet they were passing sends probes to the surface of the moon which creates an atmosphere.

Wow...that's a blast from the past! I always liked Barry Morse's character...that's the same actor who played the cop after Dr. Richard Kimble in "The Fugitive" TV series. But I thought Martin Landau was pretty cool as well...as well as Barbara Bain. It certainly blew away the original "Battlestar Galactica"...and was pretty cool for sci-fi PRE-Star Wars.

I just loved the horrible effects and the lame brass knuckle like guns :o)

I do. I don't remember her name but she's the one who can change into anything that's living. :)
