Where is the best place to watch the fireworks in New york City?

My wife and I are going to NYC for the first time ever, and we need to know where to watch the fireworks go off.

    The closer you can get to the East side of Manhattan, the better. The City of NY closes the FDR Drive to vehicles and pedestrians can than get on and see the fireworks from there.

    Also, if you can get to Roosevelt Island ( in between Queens & Manhattan), that would be a good spot, as would any of the East River border areas in Queens (Long Island City) and Brooklyn (Williamsburg) are good alternatives.

    the main significant fireworks demonstrate in NYC is on the East River (and as quickly as I say significant i propose amazing, should not be left out, in all probability the suited interior the country). it may be complicated to artwork out the East River from severe Park with all those properties interior the way. To make the diverse the journey for loose (there are countless innovations from $20+), i could propose heading to between the pedestrian retailers alongside FDR stress, going over to the Hunter's element furnish up on the 7, or happening to the South highway Seaport (Sonic young ones is appearing real right here at 3 pm). the ethical of the story? you have have been given to pass to the water. :)

    They close the FDR drive for viewers on the 4th of July, but warning, you will have to get there early. Seriously, if your no there by 3PM, forget about it.
