Is it possible to print a still image from a digital camera video clip?

How can i get a jpg or bmp image from a windows media player video, taken on my digital camera?

I'd like to print out a still from a digital video taken on holiday.

Update:

Hey, chaps!

Thanks for all your help! Jon's suggestion worked first time -I didn't even know I had that program on the PC!

Cheers, Kaz x

Probably the easiest way is to use Windows Movie Maker. Import the wmv file and drag it on to the time strip. Make sure you have the preview window shown. Hit play on the preview window and pause it at the frame you want to keep. (You can move forward and back one frame at a time with the buttons on the bottom of the preview pane). When you've got the image you want, have a look under the preview pane on the right. There is a button to split the movie at that frame in to two clips and another to take a snapshot. Hit that, and hey presto, save your file in the format you wish.

    Hi,

The easiest way to do is play the video in full screen (Ctrl + Enter) in windows media player. When you get to the clip you want to

store. Press Printscreen (Print Scrn) on your keyboard. Now close the media player and go to Acessories > Paint and open the Piant program. Click on Edit > Paste to paste the

Clip. Do some editing if you want and then store it using Save command in any picture format . Hope this helps.

Not that i know of... I connect my camera to my comp and play vids from it myself.

But it might be possible with some kind of video editing program and your clip imported to it but sry I have not experience with that ...

Good luck, id like to know an answer as well

An easy option is to print screen when it's on the clip you want.

Then crop it in a photo editor.
