Who to notify if you know of a Mortage Broker that falsifies information to make a buyer eligible for a loan?
This individual would ask me and my Employer to state that a person worked for us, when in fact they had never even been heard of, if anyone called to verify employment. I refused to be involved, but my employer did do it many times.

The Federal Reserve which governs Banks in the US.

The Senior Management or President of the Bank or Mortgage Company.
Prepare and send a CERTIFIED LETTER with restricted delivery and return receipt requested.

Under the CRA Community Reinvestment Act and the Equal Housing Act these actions by your Mortgage Banker should NOT be done with consumers.
This is FRADULENT activity and should be reported in the best interests of the public.

Make sure you have proof and can verify your allegations BEFORE you take ANY action.

You should also report this to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
Look at the public notice on LENDING PRACTICES that should be posted in the Bank or Mortgage Company as it has the addresses where you can write and complain or ask questions from the local government associations which monitor Financial Services Companies including Banks and Mortgage Companies in the USA.

Call your state banking commission. They will be glad to hear of this. I am sure your boss is getting a kick back for this "service"

You should be able to go to Google & try typing in "mortgage lending division in ________" (your state).
