Best wine and cheese with oil-cured olives?
I love Greek or French oil cured olives. These are the strong flavored olives that are wrinkled and black.
Does anyone have a suggestion for the best wine and cheese to serve with these olives? I am looking for general categories of wine, although brands are okay too.
Thanks for helping the wine ignorant!

Dry red wines tend to pair well with the boldness of oil-cured olives and sheep or goat milk cheeses. As a general rule, for a beginner, try to pair wine, cheese and olives from the same region (Greek with Greek, Italian with Italian, etc.)
Good luck!

With olives I think Rioja and manchego cheese are hard to beat. Or you could go for a fresh goats cheese or feta and drink chilled Rose wine ( something from Provence would be perfect ).
