Does anybody know how to make a liner for a 1841 howsitzer so the weld will hold?
I get to spend the hot month of June making a 1841 howsitzer I can sandcast the outside of one cause I made 5 wide mouthed cannons but never one with a liner.

what an awsome project...wish i could help but i know nothing...check with your local muffler shop...they have guys there that do alot of welding and i'm sure they would have some kind of clue as to how you could accomplish this, that is what i'd do for starters, if i didn't know some welders personally (they are not available right now, i just tried to contact them via cellphone and no answer, sorry)
by the way i envy you being able to have such an awsome project to embark upon...
