i have a dell as well... i use my Windows Media Player to burn all my cd's. first i download my music via LIMEWIRE and then add it to my Windows Media library. Then there is a tab that says "Burn List" and you click on that and drag your songs over into the area to burn. Insert a CD-R and it will tell you if you can add more songs or need to delete some. then simply click on "Start Burn" and it begins the process. in a few minutes, out pops the CD and you're on your merry way!!

You should have a program called Sonic Record Now, that's probably the easiest to use.
