Although I personally don't like George Bush, Y is the Detroit city council holding meetings to impeach him.

I live in the city of Detroit and with his term almost up and all the challeges we face in the city, high property taxes, High auto and home insurance, Schools with no money, laying of employees, etc , I think they should focus attention on real issues.

If you live in Detroit, then you know that they have done very little to improve a damn thing about Detroit. Love the Joe Lewis arm by the way(creeps me out). I remember with Coleman young put the elephant on bell isle. As long as Detroit remains a democrat strong hold it will never get any better. When I left Detroit it had 4 million people, its under a million now. Become the solution, don't add to the problem.

Maybe Israel didn't invest in Detroit?

Maybe the money that was supposed to fund education in Detroit went to Israel or Iraq?

Maybe the $23,000,000 that the Jewish Center got could had been used to hire more police in the City of Detroit?

    I don't know....I am just guessing

Maybe the $5-$10 billion going to Israel & Egypt could have been used to fund education or training for adults?

They are wasting their time....even with millions of dollars raised and the whole city of detroit voting agaisnt him and protesting.....LOL he is not going to be impeached.

He didn't do anything to get impeached. yeah he wasn't like the best president ever...but who in congress is really going to fight an impeachment trial with 7 months left of his career...duh

This could be because Detroit has a high arab population. I am not pinpointing...i mean I am arab so I can say that...maybe that is why Detroit feels so strongly.

It is probably just to direct attention away from the city's real problems.

Kwame's constant abuse of power. from the navigator, to the Kwame slush fund, to the hiring of family, to the abuse of the media.

City councils own ineptness. The rising crime, the school issues, the fact that the city is a virtual wasteland.

city council of detroit is probably just looking to get the residents to praise them a little.

but realistically, it shows you that now matter what. Everyone hates george bush.

I have not heard of this, but it does sound like a horrific waste of time considering the horrible problems that Detroit has and so desperately need to be attended to.

Like most Bush haters though, it probably gives them orgasmic quakes to find partners to vent about such things with.

  • because Detroit is a Utopia and they have no real problems to deal with there. In their spare time, they can bring up important issues like the impeachment of our President.

lol! sorry but i find that funny. bush can not be impeached. it takes roughly 2 years and that does not mean he will be thrown out of office. remember clinton was impeached(if i remember correctly) but not thrown out.

being impeached is like going infront of the grand jury, the whole point of it is to see if there is enough evidence to convict you

5-10 billion is not very much money when talking about the federal government

George W Bush hasn't committed any "impeachable" offenses! So anybody suggesting it or trying to initiate it is wasting their sweet precious time. George W Bush is doing exactly what 60 million voters elected him to do back in 2004. Just because people have changed their minds on what they want, doesn't mean they can impeach him because they no longer agree with him!

If they focus on the real issues facing Detroit people who have the city council thrown out on it's ear.

    It is called diversion.

That's john conyers & co. banging his own political drum again. He's been in the house of reps for so long I can't remember when he wasn't. But I'd still like to know what he's ever DONE in there.
