Try disconnecting then re connecting. Then if that doesn't work. Download and run winsock fix from here:

If this fixes your problem then more than likely you had been infected by malware go here to run a free scan and clean up your computer.

If you are using Win XP. If so, at the bottom right of your screen (in the system tray) there should be a picture of a computer with little squiggly "radio wave" lines. I assume this is where you are seeing the good signal. Click on that icon. (If you do not have that, go to the control panel, hit network connections, and select your wireless connection to get to the same place).
Once there, hit the button near the bottom right that says "view wireless networks". Click on that and you should see your local wireless network displayed. Hit the refresh network list button near the top left (just to be sure) and highlight your local network and hit the connect button near the bottom right. (If you were already connected then disconnect and then hit connect again just to refresh it).
Were you able to connect? Are you able to use the web? If not, do one more thing. Hit the start button and select run and then type "cmd" and hit enter to open a command (DOS) window. Type "ipconfig" and hit enter. If you know networking basics, then try to ping the gateway address.

Has it ever connected or just suddenly stopped? If you have a brand new connection you will need to go into the router and set up your login details on the WAN section.
If it has suddenly stopped working then cycle the power on your router and reboot your PC.
Check that the ISP settings have not become corrupted. Restore the routers backup (you did make one whilst it was working, didn't you?). Make sure the router is set to automatically get the IP address and default gateway from the ISP.
A few suggestions to get you started, anyway.

Hello,
(ANS) its very very possible you have whats called a DIRTY DNS CACHE on your local machine, when the DNS Resolve cache becomes dirty the symptoms are that your computer cannot find or locate any internet website nor send or receive emails.
HOW TO FIX,
No.1 A hard reboot, close the machine down & power off leave for 10-20seconds then power the machine back on. This should clear the DNS resolve cache and everything should sort itself out & you should be able to use all your web services as normal.
No.2 (command line approach), in windows goto the start button, next to the start menu, on the start menu, now select the "run" command, in the windows that appears type CMD & key return (or enter), you should have a old style MS-MOS window with a C:\> prompt.
At the prompt type c:\>ipconfig /flushdns
Press enter or return key
This clears the DNS cache and you should get things working again. (if No.2 fails goto No.1).
Hope that helps?

1. Change the IP address to automatic or give 192.168.1. X
( say 10 to 20 ).
Try openDNS 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220
{ Start/Control Panel/Network Connections/Wireless
Properties Select TCP/IP properties. }
2. Inter change the wireless adapter with a working computer .
3. Open IE : in address bar type 192.168.1.1
(can you access the router programing log in page ?)

Power cycle your router: Unplug the router from the power for half a minute and plug it back in...Regardless if you have other computers that are are able to access the internet with this connection. If that fails, try connecting your computer directly into your cable modem to further troubleshoot your computer's network settings.

If you are using DSL, I think I can help, but yes you will have to login to that wireless router and do some configuring.
You show as connected, because you are connected to the router, but not allowed to go beyond that.
