Where is a good public Golf course in St. Louis, MO?

I will be visiting the St. Louis area. I really enjoy older municipal courses.

i would suggest normandy golf course on st.charles rock road...its a great layout but its not in the greatest condition, 24.00 if your a senior....there is forest park..just redone and its pretty good, it has some of the old layout, about 42.00 for a senior....

there is arlington golf course off of hwy 111, about 15 minutes from downtown st. louis in illinois, good course in great condition about 22.00 for a senior, phone number for directions if 618-931-5232, now let me plug my favorite course....wolf hollow in washington missouri about 45 minutes from downtown st.louis out hwy 44, turn right on the new hwy 100 go 4 and 1/2 miles and its on your left...great layout with the exception of #3 and #4, hilly course with greens to match...a really beautiful course, not a old layout but still well worth the drive, about 20,00 for a senior...all these prices are during the week.

if you play wolf hollow let me know if you don't three putt.

I would stay away from Arlington, I live real close there and it is a dump. As far as muni's go in Illinois, I would say Belk Park in Wood River, I've heard mix reviews about Normandy, I actually thought they were tearing that down.
